Dr. Kraemer is is a Tufts Veterinary School 1991 Graduate (Boston, MA). He is a member of the AVMA (American Veterinary Medical Association) and the SCVMA (Southern California Veterinary Medical Association) and has been practicing veterinary medicine and surgery in Orange County, California for over 20 years. He has a special interest in Bulldog and other Brachycephalic breeds, and their unique medical and surgical needs, such as breathing and airways conditions, joint pain, ligament and tendon injuries, ear canal disease, skin and allergy problems, eyes and eyelid abnormalities, as well as other medical conditions related to the breed.
Dr. Kraemer is also a leader in regenerative medicine and the founder of StemCell4Pet.com. At Vet4HealthyPet Advanced Medical Care we offer alternative non pharmaceutical therapies for pain relief, wound repair, inflammatory condition in the form of cutting edge healing modalities including a state of the art in house stem cell therapy, Cryobanking, Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP), class 4 cold laser and Pulse Electromagnetic Therapy (PEMT). Dr. Kraemer also has a large following of other dog breeds and cat owners, providing wellness and preventative care, a wide range of surgical and dental service, orthopedics, radiology, cardiology, ultrasonography, etc. The Vet4HealthyPet team has been working closely with the Southern California Bulldog Rescue (SCBR), providing shelter, medical and surgical services for over a decade.
Kristen Hurn attended Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences from 2011-2015 with an emphasis on small animal and exotic animal medicine. During her university years, she completed externships at SeaWorld, the Marine Mammal Center at Fort MacArthur, and overseas at Obihiro University in Japan. Following graduation, she completed a one year-rotating internship in Emergency Medicine at Southwest Veterinary Specialists in San Antonio while rotating through the San Antonio Zoo and SeaWorld San Antonio.
Dr. Hurn has a passion for preventive care medicine with an emphasis on nutrition and dental polyphyletic care. Dr. Hurn also has a passion for marine mammal medicine which lead her to move from Texas to California to work with marine mammal rescue and rehabilitation. She also works part-time at the Marine Mammal Care Center of LA rescuing and rehabilitating seals and sea lions. Dr. Hurn also spent many years overseas in Japan and enjoys speaking conversational Japanese with her friends and clients.
In her free time, your will find Dr. Hurn hiking, baking, singing karaoke, and practicing Japanese with exchange students. She is excited to meet you and for furry family member and discuss all of your preventive care and health needs.
